FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is the Difference between aluminium & uPVC?

Although aluminium is the standard choice for modern homes and commercial office spaces in South Africa, it offers no real energy efficiency. Aluminium is a conductive material, meaning heat and cold transfer easily through the frame.

uPVC, on the other hand, is a non-conductive material that prevents outside temperatures from transferring indoors. This creates a more comfortable living environment while reducing the workload on heating and cooling systems — making uPVC a far more energy-efficient option.

  • why do you offer both if uPVC is clearly the better choice?

At Dunn For You Projects, we understand that sticking to your budget is important. The aluminium systems we supply are the standard, trusted profiles used throughout the South African industry. While there are cheaper, low-quality aluminium systems on the market, we don’t compromise on quality. We provide cost-effective solutions that remain durable, reliable, and built to last.
